Coming from Design and Development Team, he knows the CAD tool, and through its design experience can design and provide in time information and feedback to the TIE and all design team to prevent possible issue and collision that cannot respect the best practice. He has the responsibility to support the TIE on procedures vs design development and define needes to fulfill the needs of Team.In additional ha to ensure that all activities on the projects are reached in time from the team, to integrate all design input from design and LeLe

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
Help designers Develop concepts through to production, to ensure robust, cost sensitive design solutions Work closely with the designers to develop and implement solid design concepts to meet the requirements defined in customer contract and implementing Magna’s design best practices Review cad components and assemblies during design phase and complete design checklist. Communicating issues to Program team prior to TKO Work closely with design team to insure legal functional requirements, and manufacturing limitations are meet Ensure the CAD deliverables are progressing along the expected timeline, and propose action plans should problems arise Mentor designers to create and define robust, computer aided design files, consistent with Magna’s Standards, capable of enduring multiple design revisions quickly and efficiently Peer mentor the designers assigned to their respective programs, helping them to develop their skills sets and experience Create and maintain design standard parts library best practices gained from current experience Teams with TIE for integrating new design systemic items Supports TIE CAD specific projects – e.g. mass optimization, standardized structural execution development of design algorithms Supports TIE for CAD / detailed dimension generation for use in Best Practice Supports TIE for any other CAD related tasks, as required (e.g. feature development for rapid prototyping, mock-ups, etc) Supports program design team in brainstorming and quick concept generation in CAD, as required

REQUIREMENTS AND KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Two or three years post-secondary school (university or Community college) (Engineering Field) or Associates in CAD 1-3 years’ experience Solid control of Parametric Free Form Surface and Solid modeling in 1-2 CAD packages such as /NX, or Catia Understands and applies standard plastics geometries to ensure manufacturing controls (ie: Draft, Wall stock, Rads and Fillets) are incorporated Can manage data transfers as required by our customer, utilizing the systems prescribed as trained/ presented. Perform translation of data utilizing industry standard translation software as required
SKILL AND COMPETENCIES
Understanding of automotive lighting design principles Design for Manufacturability (DFM) Concept engineering Review and analysis of data from capability studies Print tolerancing and GD&T Extremely detail oriented going above and beyond specific product design to include system interfaces
